5.1.17. Locations

Location List

List view of all locations with navigation to reorder, add, view associated objects, edit and delete.

Locations – Reorder

Click on reorder button: a new view is loaded with drag and drop feature and two buttons, Cancel and Save. If Save button is pressed the new order is saved. If Cancel button is pressed the order is not changed.

Add New Location

Click on Add button: the user is able to add new location.

Name – location name
Location Identifiers – ability to add multiple identifiers for a location
Types of identifiers:

1. Gateway IPv4
2. Subnet IPv4
3. IPv4 range from – to
4. WIFI-SSID
   

Edit Location

Click on Edit button: the user is able to edit an existing location.

Delete Location

Click on Delete button: the user is able to delete an existing location.

Associated objects

Click on the highlighted button: the user sees all associated objects in a list with search/filtering.

1. Accounts (vendors/accounts)
2. Containers
3. Servers
4. Printers
5. Connected PC clients
   The “associated objects” list shows only objects within a given vendor/customer account, not beyond the current account (i.e. if you click to view associated objects for a high level vendor, Ricoh EU London office, you don’t see every sub-vendor and sub-accounts objects).
   

Add the Location to nodes

A location from drop down is added for the following main tree nodes:

1. Vendor/Customer Accounts
2. Containers
3. Servers
4. Services
5. Input ports
6. Output ports
   If no location is set on that object, retrieve and display the inherited location from parent in drop down (if any). Limit upwards lookup to parent account (vendor/account).
   

Navigate to a specific main tree node to see mode information about location.
