5.1.1.1. Offline Server Cache

Offline server cache will allow a secondary server to run when the connection from secondary server to primary server is lost. Enabling this option will allow a secondary server to run for 14 days while in offline state.

Enabling Offline Server Cache

To enable offline server cache,select the server in the tree, this will display server sub menu. Click on settings,settings are displayed in read only mode, click the edit button. Check the check box “Enable offline cache”

Specifying cache window

Cache window decides how long the data is cached. For example this value is set to 2 , and the secondary server looses connectivity to primary server, then all users that authenticated in the last 2 hours since the loss of connectivity are able to login.The value specified will be counted in hours.however this time period may not be longer than 14 days, As Offline server cache mode allows secondary to run upto 14 days in offline state
