  • A server with the following minimum specifications:
    • Minimum 2 cores/CPU’s of recent generation server grade CPU processor.
    • Minimum 4 GB of RAM memory available to SAFEQ Cloud (recommended 6-8 GB for higher volume processing)
    • Minimum 20 GB of free hard disk for print spooling and processing on /var directory or filesystem (more disk space will be required for large document volumes being retained)
    • Minimum 5 GB of free hard disk for logs and application itself on /opt directory or filesystem
  • Root account access for installation
  • The following libraries/tools are required:
    • Ghostscript (only required for PCL printing)

Recommended server sizing

There are no clear rules for server scaling, since it all depends on the printing volume, number of users, but the below are general recommendations for most scenarios

1-25 printers 26-100 printers 101-500 printers 501-1000 printers
CPU 2 cores/CPU’s 4 cores/CPU’s 4 cores/CPU’s 8 cores/CPU’s
Memory 4 GB 16 GB 16 GB 16 GB
Hard disk SSD 64 GB SSD 128 GB SSD 256 GB SSD 512 GB
