Deploying Sharp embedded
In the SAFEQ Cloud web UI, ensure the following:
- Your secondary gateway is configured according to Secondary Gateway mapping.
- Terminal Client service is created with the SAFEQ Cloud embedded terminal integration.
- Document output service is created.
- The sharp Embedded client is created.
- A Printer is created (using above mentioned Terminal Client service, Document output service, and created Sharp Embedded Client).
To configure SAFEQ Cloud on Sharp Terminals:
- Log in as an administrator to the MFD web interface.
- Go to system settings.
- Click on Sharp OSA settings.
- Click on ‘Standard Application Settings’ and click on ‘Add‘.
- Enter a desired application name.
Enter the address for application UI as https://‘server name’:8703/WebClientSharp/HomeAdapterServlet?addr={MFD_adress}.
Important! ‘server name’ is the fully qualified domain name of the SAFEQ Cloud Gateway & {MFD_address} is the IP address or hostname of the MFD eg https://print.acme.com:8703/WebclientSharp/HomeAdapterServlet?addr=192.168.100.101
Note. The addr parameter is optional if the device is setup using IP, it is mandatory for hostname.- Mark ‘Extended Platform‘.
- Click ‘Submit‘.
- Now click on ‘External Accounting Application Settings’.
- Enable the ‘External Account Control’.
- Check the checkbox ‘Set Authentication Server (Server 1)’.
- Enable the ‘Server 1’.
- Enter the Application Name as ‘OneQWebClient’.
- Enter the address for application UI as https://‘server name’:8703/WebClientSharp/LoginAdapterServlet?addr={MFD_adress}
Enter the address for Web Service as https://‘server name’:8703/WebClientSharp/ws?addr={MFD_adress}
Important! ‘server name’ is the fully qualified domain name of the SAFEQ Cloud Gateway & {MFD_address} is the IP address or hostname of the MFD eg

- Change ‘Find My Address’ to ‘Local‘ and then click ‘Submit‘.
After submitting the changes restart the device. After the creation of the Printer and Embedded in SAFEQ Cloud management. These settings are all that is needed to install and configure the terminal. There is no need to perform/click Install and Configure from the SAFEQ Cloud Embedded Configuration.
Navigate to Authentication settings > Default Settings page and do the following changes:
- Set ‘User Authentication‘ to ‘Enable‘.
- Set ‘Authentication Server Settings‘ to ‘Sharp OSA‘.
- Enable ‘Use IC Card for Authentication’ in the ‘Card Settings’ section.
Go to the ‘Conditions Settings’ page and select all the options as shown in the image below:
