How to check VID and PID on cardreader

Open up your “Device manager” on your computer and expand “Human Interface Devices”.

Note which devices are in there and plug the USB-cardreader into a free USB-port on your computer.

Now there will be a new device under “Human Interface Devices”, rightclick that device and choose “Properties”.

Now choose “Details”-tab and “Hardware ID´s” in the dropdown-menu.

Now you see the VID and the PID, which here are: VID: 04D8 and PID: FE86. Remember when putting in VID and PID to use 0x in front of the value.
